Policies and Procedures

Information concerning CPR, N95 Mask Fit Testing, and Immunizations and Medical Requirements, is being updated and will be posted here in early August.  In the meantime, students should gather all previous immunization records to prepare for completing the medical requirement.

Police Information Check

Subsequent to the Protection for Persons in Care Act (5 January, 1998), a Police Information Check is required for all Alberta Health Services (AHS) sites.

Students in the Department  of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Formerly known as the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology) must have a police information check completed prior to their introductory placement in May of Year 1 of the program. It is possible that external sites may require new checks to be completed prior to a placement. Costs are the responsibility of the student.

Each student’s police information check with be reviewed by the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education or designate before their first placement.
