More than 72 Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine students were representin' at this year's CIBC Run for the Cure on Oct. 2. More than $5700 was raised for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The students from the departments of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology and audiology all met up at an LRT station in their rehab med Run for the Cure gear and proudly held the "Team Rehab Med 2010" sign as they ran or walked the five km trail through downtown Edmonton.

"Run for the Cure is a tradition for us," says Jennifer Liang, charitable events coordinator for the Rehab Med Students' Association and second-year physical therapy student. "We had a great turnout and I'm hoping we get this kind of enthusiasm for the blood drive at the end of October too!"
