This workshop is aimed at participants who would like to further develop their understanding of the process of the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation) as an assessment of competency for physiotherapists. The full day will be held simultaneously in Edmonton and Calgary.
The workshop includes a morning session in Edmonton and Calgary (connected by video-conferencing). This will be a lecture/seminar focused on the basic skills required, how to read and interpret station instructions, strategies for performance within the station and application/discussion of these with practice scenarios. This session should be completed first, if possible, to achieve better understanding of how to study for an OSCE. The afternoon session will be a Clinical Skills OSCE exam including 6 stations. For these Clinical Skills OSCE workshops, attendees will complete each station and receive immediate feedback and improvement tips from the station examiner.
