Thinking Outside of the Box: Understanding Pain, Depression & Anxiety with Total Joint Arthroplasty

Please join us for one day of formal education sessions specifically directed at discussing the impact of complex pain, depression and anxiety in patients undergoing Total Joint Arthroplasty. Education sessions will include interactive presentations led by orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, a pharmacist and psychologist.

  • Dr. Mark Simmonds (Clinical Professor, anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist at the Multidisciplinary Pain Centre at the University of Alberta)
  • Dr. Geoff Bostick (Assistant Professor, Dept of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Alberta)
  • Dr. Marcia Clark (Orthopaedic Surgeon at Foothills Medical Centre and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary)
  • Dr. Marlis Sabo (Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary)
  • Dr. Cheryl Sadowski (Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta)
