Travis is interested in medication management in geriatric populations.

Gyro Club of Edmonton Graduate Scholarship in Aging- Master's Level (value $1200)

Recipient: Misty Whalen
Program: Master of Science in Nursing
Supervisor: Dr. Belinda Parke

Misty's capstone project examines the adverse effects of complicated medication regimes in elderly patients.

Gyro Club of Edmonton Graduate Scholarship in Aging- PhD (Value $1200)

Recipient: Beryl Cable-Williams
Program: Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing
Supervisor: Dr. Donna Wilson

Beryl's dissertation focuses on quality end-of-life care for the elderly in long term care.

Beryl could not attend Nibble, Nosh and Network 2009 to recieve her award but we congratulate her on her success and wish her all the best in her future endeavors!

W.W. and H.E. Trusdale Award in Gerontology (value $500)

W.W. and H.E. Trusdale Award in Gerontology is an award to support a student attending a conference.

Tiana attended the Gerontology Society of America meeting in National Harbor, Maryland in November 2008. She presented a poster entitled, "Broadening the Patient Safety Agenda to Include Safety in Long Term Care"
