Medically at risk driver assessments:
for safer driving and safer roads
Medically impaired drivers can be as dangerous as drunk drivers. Medical conditions can impair driver attention, memory and judgment, just like alcohol.
University of Alberta researchers developed science based assessment tools to help identify medically at risk drivers. DriveABLE's Cognitive Assessment Tool (DCAT) is the only cognitive assessment shown to be highly predictive of actual on-road performance, while DriveABLE's On-Road Evaluation is the first behind the wheel assessment that tests cognitive ability alone.
DriveABLE products are licensed and distributed across North America, New Zealand and South Korea and provides physicians, medical centres, hospitals, fleet managers and insurers with tools to help determine if medications or a medical condition has affected someone's ability to drive.
