Make the most of winter

Are you struggling to keep your spirits high when the temperature outside is so low? We recommend having some fun!

Finding a great outdoor activity or event can be difficult, so we've compiled a list of the many events happening on campus and throughout Edmonton for you. Bundle up and make the most of this chilly Edmonton winter!

The Ice Castles in Hawrelak Park

These acre sized castles are composed entirely out of ice and are part of an interactive art piece that spans across six cities in North America. Edmonton is the only Canadian city with this beautiful wonderland.

Open night or day, the Ice Castles are a must-see attraction in Edmonton. But don't take our word for it, check it out yourself!

The Flying Canoe Volant

The Flying Canoe Volant is a creative, interactive and cultural event that celebrates local history and everything that is great about a long winter's night. Loosely based on the legend of the Flying Canoe, and on French-Canadian, First Nation, and Métis traditions, the Flying Canoe Volant invites you for a nighttime adventure in Edmonton's French Quarter and along the illuminated trails of the Mill Creek Ravine.
