Tell it like it is and WIN!

I’m Caitlin McLeod and I’m the Supervisor Residence Life, Education and Leadership for the University of Alberta. Part of what I do is to look into student trends and research the student experience.

As a former resident at UAlberta myself, I’m incredibly passionate about exploring what students love (or don’t love) about residence—and how we can improve.

That’s where you come in: Between March 2, 2020 until April 1, 2020, take the Satisfaction and Learning Survey to answer questions regarding your residence experience, from your room in residence to your roommates to your ideas for future programs!

Have your voice heard and fill out the survey during the month of March and help shape the future of residence!

How long will this survey take?

The survey looks at all aspects of life on campus and is longer than our usual surveys. It should take about 20 minutes to complete.

Are there any other reasons to do the survey other than sharing my opinion?

Yes! Enter to win some awesome prizes once you complete the survey, like a new iPad, an instant camera, or bookstore giftcards up to $250. (Hello, free textbooks!)

Will someone actually be reading these results?

Yes! I am the actual, live human being who will be coding your choices, reading the long answer responses, and sharing this data across campus. The entire Residence Life professional staff team will even dive into this data so they can better understand your needs and plan for next year!

What else should I know?

We want to know about your entire residence experience, including student mental health and substance use, which some participants may find triggering.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to campus and community services if you require additional support!
