Masks recommended in residence

Residence Services - 16 March 2022

Since the beginning of March, both the Government of Alberta and City of Edmonton have lifted masking requirements. To align with this decision, the university will join other Edmonton and Alberta institutions and facilities in suspending our mandatory masking policy starting Wednesday, March 16.

Residence strongly recommends that you continue to wear masks in high-traffic or high-capacity spaces and anywhere you are in close proximity to others. As residents, staff, and guests make this transition together, we also ask that you respect the choices of others in our community regarding masking.

Free N95 masks available

Packages of masks are available for free during opening hours for all residents from the Lister Student and Guest Services desk and International House Residence Services Office.

Résidence Saint-Jean residents can pick up masks from Campus Saint-Jean.

What is staying the same?

Continue to isolate as soon as you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 or receive a positive test. See all isolation instructions.

Thank you for keeping our community safe!
