Provincial health measures: Return to Step 1 on April 8

Alberta has moved back to Step 1 restrictions until further notice. Stronger public health measures are in place to protect the health system and reduce the rising spread of COVID-19 provincewide.

What does this mean to residents?

The rules will stay the same. To keep our residence community safe and avoid an outbreak, please continue to follow the residents' expectations and safety guidelines.

  • Visit common areas and kitchens only with your household or two designated close contacts
  • Yes Continue to follow all posted capacity limits in common areas
  • YesPhysically distance and wear a mask, even with close contacts
  • YesMasks must be worn at all times in the kitchen except when you are seated and eating or drinking
  • NoEating and drinking in lounges, common areas and dining halls is prohibited

Follow occupancy limits for indoor lounges and common spaces

Occupancy limits may not be exceeded. You may only gather indoors with your household or designated two close contacts and any other indoor gatherings are prohibited.

Outdoor social gatherings prohibited on campus

You are not able to gather outside on campus, however eating outside on campus is possible. Use of the picnic tables around residence is limited to household members or your two close contacts only.

Off campus, outdoor gatherings continue to be limited to a maximum of 10 people. Physical distancing must be maintained at all times.
