Eastern Ascent 2021—August 23-27

Eastern Ascent provides opportunities for upper year students in residence to make friends and get the most out of their university experience by providing virtual and in person programming that are in-line with all public health measures. Continue to check your UAlberta email over the summer or our orientation webpages to stay up to date with our Fall 2021 residence orientation plans.

Join our upper year orientation program designed for students living on East Campus. Eastern Ascent was implemented to get residents comfortable in your new living environment, develop peer connections and get to know the Edmonton community and campus.

Explore and develop a sense of citizenship in Edmonton and establish your new support system before classes start!

Residents moving into any of our upper year residences will get to take part in many activities with a lasting impact on your year.

Eastern Ascent is designed to help build strong residence communities—so get to know your new neighbours, catch a webinar to start the term off strong and become familiar with campus!

By participating in Eastern Ascent, you will:

  • settle into your new home
  • bond with your community and make new friends throughout residence
  • develop a personal and academic support network
  • connect with helpful resources on and off-campus
  • develop a sense of citizenship and engagement with the Edmonton community
  • and more!

Residents will receive access to their specific Eastern Ascent 2021 schedule through Expedition: Connect in early August.
