Wellness Alert System

Not feeling well? Report your symptoms to protect community health!

With hundreds of students living in a shared and social space like residence, when someone gets sick, it increases the likelihood of other people getting sick. When you report your symptoms, the Wellness Alert System can track the health of your community and Residence Services can address growing concerns early to help minimize further spread.

Should you have concerns about your health, please go to Alberta Health Services or contact Alberta Health Link by dialing 811 on your phone.

Wellness Alert

The Wellness Alert system is a series of simple questions regarding your symptoms and which building you live in. It’s fast, easy and strictly confidential. All personal information is only available to medical professionals at the University Health Centre.

Data collected by the tracking system is used to estimate the number of people unwell in each residence community and identify concerns early.

Wellness Alert can also text you health tips and alerts directly to your phone. To subscribe to this service, text UABTIPS to 1-888-286-0549 (Provider texting rates may apply). You can unsubscribe from this service at any time.

Wellness Alert is not intended as a tool for medical treatment. If you are concerned about your symptoms, visit the Alberta Health Services website or call Health Link (811). In case of an emergency, go to the nearest emergency clinic or hospital.

Learn more about health in residence and exam deferrals at the Community Health webpage.
