Ghouls and goblins, and princesses too can avoid becoming a victim to cavities and tooth pain this Halloween by following these simple tips.

  • Limit candy intake
  • Make sure children eat a good meal so they don't over indulge
  • Stickier candies like taffy and gummy bears stick to teeth and stay in the mouth for a longer time than hard candies.
  • Chewing sugar free gum afterwards helps reduce tooth decay
  • Brush your teeth well with a fluoridated toothpaste before bed time and gently floss the teeth.
  • Chewing gum stimulates salivary flow and helps restore the pH in the mouth
