The University of Alberta's Dental Students' Association held their 8th annual Winter Charity Ball on February 3rd. This event is entirely organized by DDS & DH students and proceeds will go towards Kindness in Action and the U of A Global Student Outreach Endowment Fund, which supports student involvement on humanitarian missions.
This year's theme was A Night at the Oscars, and through a combination of sponsorship donations, silent auction, raffle and more, the DSA raised $101,500! This year they earned recognition for their outstanding community involvement and support for charity in both the local and global setting by Global News and the Mayor of Edmonton.
The School of Dentistry and the ADA&C would like to congratulate the senior (DDS 2020) and junior (DDS 2021, DH 2020) Executive teams for their hard work in making this event a success.
