What is one of your proudest moments at work?

I feel very proud of our students when they present their work and I can see the fruit of their work and our work together. Research is a challenge and you are always learning something new, and being able to pass on skills makes me proud.

Tell us something we don't know about you.

A hobby I have discovered is that I enjoy building with Lego. I got a Volkswagen camper set from my son a year-and-a-half ago as Mother's Day and birthday gift. I just recently completed it and found it to be quite fun. I also love knitting tuques!

If you weren't doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

I would be a drama queen. I love the theatre and performing arts. I love acting and storytelling. This is one of my many alter egos.

What's the best advice somebody has ever given you?

Don't look back in anger.

Favourite quote?

The road to a man's heart is through food. This is true for most relationships. I find all events and things centre around food and it brings people together.
