Day in the life of Kaite Sears

How long have you worked here?

I can't believe I have been here for 3 years already. I started as the academic teaching services administrative assistant and I recently accepted the role of the graduate studies administrator.

What is one of your proudest moments at work?

I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Oral Health Total Health Sharing Smiles Day a few years ago. It was a great event planned by our great students. It's also great to participate in the Heart & Stroke Big Bike fundraiser each year.

Tell us something we don't know about you that you are okay with sharing? A previous job, hobby, what you wanted to be when you grew up, etc.

I am learning to play the violin. We've always had a violin in our house sitting around and decided to sign up for some lessons. The teacher doesn't have to wear earplugs anymore so I must be getting better.

If you weren't doing what you do now, what would you be doing?

I would probably be travelling. I have a big bucket list of places I'd like to see. My favourite trip so far has been Europe.

What's the best advice somebody has ever given you?

Always go to the good Starbucks when you can.

Favourite quote, movie or book?

I love to read the Harry Potter books.
