Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) poses a significant medical challenge to modern societies tied to cardiovascular and quality of life issues in adults. In children, OSA has behavioral and learning concerns and an increased risk of developing several systemic diseases.

Dentistry plays a critical role in the treatment of OSA. Join the front line of dental professionals confronting this public health issue!

Program Overview

Program Overview

This course is designed for dental professionals seeking their Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Certificate. The course will introduce dentists to sleep-disordered breathing and its clinical manifestations related to dentistry and systemic health.

Dentists who complete this course should be confident in identifying the disease, discussing OSA with their patients, and making high-value referrals to access multi-disciplinary care for their patients.

To prepare dentists to tackle this health issue, we’ve separated our course into the following 3 levels:

  • Level 1: Introduction to Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Level 2: Intro to Clinical Management of Sleep Disordered Breathing
  • Level 3: Advanced Clinical Management of Sleep Disordered Breathing Part inline-block

To receive your certification, you must complete Levels 1-3. During Levels 2 and 3, you will be taught how to identify patients at risk, plan proper diagnostic pathways, and provide oral appliance therapy for your patients. In the clinical workshop component, attendees will have the opportunity to treatment plan and deliver a sleep device.
