Population & Community Oral Health Unit

The mission of Population and Community Oral Health Center (PCOHC) is to promote oral health in the population through various activities and to provide a scholarly approach towards oral health in the community. The PCOHC is a multi-faculty, interdisciplinary organization within the School of Dentistry (SOD) whose members are dedicated to improving and promoting oral health care in the community.

The PCOHC is designed to foster multidisciplinary teams of researchers and clinicians in areas of prevention, epidemiology, access to care and oral health perceptions. The PCOHC seeks to foster collaborative research between SOD investigators and with investigators from the FoMD, the School of Public Health, provincial government officers, community leaders, and a number of national and international investigators with interest in public health dentistry, oral health promotion, and health care providence.
