On June 27, 2011, Maria C. Tan presented research findings from her study, Complementary and Alternative Health Information on the Web: Credibility Assessment From an Older Adult Perspective, at the American Libraries Association (ALA) annual conference in New Orleans.

Maria's talk was one of three paper presentations given during the New Minds, New Approaches Graduate Student Research Forum at ALA's Library Research Roundtable (LRRT). The other two speakers were doctoral candidates Matthew Griffis from University of Western Ontario and Susan Wengler from Rutgers University.

Presenters and attendees at New Minds, New Approaches made the 15-minute trek to the session venue from the main door of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Centre, which stretches approximately 1.5 km from end to end. This active living opportunity allowed us all to walk off some of the wonderful New Orleans cuisine in which we had indulged!
