Recent graduate, Shelagh K. Genuis, and MLIS student, Maria C. Tan presented at the CHLA/ABSC 35th Annual Conference, held in Calgary, May 26-30, 2011.

Shelagh's presentation, Exploring information behaviour in a context of medical uncertainty: Implications for health literacy, was based on her dissertation and focused on consumer health literacy.

Maria gave a paper presentation titled, Research design and writing in the health sciences: A library guide to support academic research information needs. She also participated in a Stat!Talk series, providing a rapid-fire (five minute) summary of a pilot study completed during the LIS 597 Advanced Research Methods course.

In addition to presenting, a highlight for both was the lovely opening reception at the Glenbow Museum.
