Margaret Mackey and Gail de Vos Speak to Librarians in Central Alberta

SLIS professor Margaret Mackey and SLIS sessional instructor Gail de Vos were both speakers at the Central Alberta Regional Consortium's annual Librarians' Conference in Red Deer on March 23.

SLIS professor Margaret Mackey and SLIS sessional instructor Gail de Vos were both speakers at the Central Alberta Regional Consortium's annual Librarians' Conference in Red Deer on March 23. This year's theme was "The Connected School Library."

Dr. Mackey spoke on the topic of "E-Readers and E-Reading: Change on the Way." Ms. de Vos did two presentations on the subject of graphic novels, the first discussing their role and value in Grades 2-6, and the second looking at their place in Grades 7-12.
