For the first two weeks of February, Dr. Margaret Mackey will be a Visiting Scholar in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. She will participate in doctoral seminars, and give a lecture at the Cambridge/Homerton Research and Teaching Centre for Children's Literature. The talk is entitled "Learning to Read in a Complex World."
Dr. Mackey will also explore the riches of a variety of British libraries in pursuit of a long-forgotten girls' comic.
