SLIS student Nicole Dalmer wins Dr. Peter N. McCracken Legacy Scholarship

Congratulations to SLIS student Nicole Dalmer, who has won the Dr. Peter N. McCracken Legacy Scholarship. Nicole is the first ever student to win this award without coming from medical or health sciences, a tribute both to her skills and knowledge and also to the fact that the importance of librarians to the fields of medical science is being recognized.

Congratulations to SLIS student Nicole Dalmer, who has won the Dr. Peter N. McCracken Legacy Scholarship. Nicole is the first ever student to win this award without coming from medical or health sciences, a tribute both to her skills and knowledge and also to the fact that the importance of librarians to the fields of medical science is being recognized.

The Dr. Peter N. McCracken Legacy Scholarship recognizes Dr. McCracken's many contributions to geriatric medicine and to the mentorship of students of all disciplines. The Scholarship provides an annual grant to enable University of Alberta students registered in a graduate (Masters, PhD, MD) program with a focus on geriatrics, gerontology or aging to participate in research. Disciplines include, but are not limited to medicine, nursing, pharmacy, psychology and rehabilitation medicine.
