Jason Cooke, BSc, PhD

Inorganic Chem Lab Coordinator

About Me

Dr. Cooke manages the curriculum, administration, and supervision of the laboratory component of the inorganic chemistry (CHEM 241, 243, and 333) courses.

As an organometallic chemist with a strong interest in chemical education, Dr. Cooke's main focus is developing a modern, interesting, and challenging lab experience for students studying inorganic chemistry. Ongoing lines of inquiry include the development of new experiments that demonstrate the key techniques and characterization methods used by synthetic inorganic chemists, the introduction of new technologies to the lab (including web-based exercises and other computer-assisted activities), and the training of teaching assistants to provide a well-run and stimulating educational environment for their students.
