To attract the best and the brightest, the U of A offers generous scholarships, awards and bursaries each year.

How are scholarships different from bursaries or awards?

• A scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement.
• Bursaries provide financial assistance to full-time students facing an economic shortfall after exhausting all other financial resources.
• An award is issued to students based on other credentials, such as leadership skills, community service, etc.
