Science applicants who have completed the equivalent of *9 credits at the post-secondary level will be consider transfer applicants.
You must present all program pre-requisites, a competitive GPA and the required course load for your program of choice. Visit the Faculty of Science admission chart in the academic calendar for more details including the minimum GPA requirements. Please note, meeting the minimum application average does not guarantee admission.
Students already attending the University of Alberta who wish to change degree programs must apply to transfer into the new program of choice. Whether you are a current Science student or belong to another faculty, you will need to meet all transfer requirements and present a competitive GPA for the program. Please refer to the Student Services pages for information on transferring programs within the institution.
Special Students have completed a previous university degree and wish to enrol in further undergraduate courses for professional development or to improve on the GPA for admission to another program.
Students enrolled at another university in a full-time undergraduate program may choose to attend the University of Alberta for one term or one academic year as a Visiting Student.
Applicants who already possess an undergraduate degree may apply for an additional undergraduate program in the Faculty of Science. These applicants are considered "After Degree" applicants.
If you have previously been Required to Withdraw or have been in Poor Academic standing, you may be required to meet additional requirements before applying for admission.
