Degree program: Doctorate, University of Alberta
Supervisors: Graham Pearson, Thomas Stachel
Graduated: Spring 2018

I am studying diamonds from the Victor Mine, Finsch and Newlands kimberlites. Samples were provided by DeBeers and Graham Pearson. My analyses of ultra low abundances of trace elements indicate that the diamond forming fluid is similar for gem and fibrous diamonds.

Mandy successfully defended her Ph.D. in Spring 2018.

After completing her Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Gemmoligical Institute of America, Mandy is currently a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Alberta in the Faculty iof Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences
