My current research looks at the properties of melt pockets within the CH-6 and CH-7 kimberlites from Chidliak Kimberlite Province, Hall Peninsula, Baffin Island, Nunavut. Samples have been provided by Peregrine Diamonds. I aim to determine melt genesis, how melt has interacted/ relates with other features of the kimberlite, and look at influence on diamond construction/ destruction. Prior to this I completed a BSc in Earth Sciences at Carleton University in Ottawa. My undergraduate research focused on regional kimberlite indicator mineral dispersal patterns in the Lac de Gras region of the Northwest Territories. I have experience working in various fields of geosciences from sedimentology, mineralogy, field mapping/ sampling, and natural recourse collections. I hope to use the skills obtained in my masters in a future career in the geosciences.
