The Department of Secondary Education has appointed Dr. Thomas Dust and Dr. Cathy Adams as its new Associate Chair, Undergrad and Associate Chair, Graduate, respectively.
Both appointments will begin on July 1, 2015.
Dr. Dust currently holds the position of Professor of Secondary Music Education, where he teaches the undergraduate and graduate Curriculum and Instruction courses in secondary music, directs the Faculty of Education Concert Band and Jazz Band II for the Department of Music.
Dr. Adams is an Associate Professor in Secondary whose research focuses on digital technology integration across K-12 and post-secondary educational environments. She was recently nominated as one of the three finalists in the University of Alberta's 2015 Last Lecture.
The Department of Secondary Education welcomes both Dr. Dust and Dr. Adams to their new roles. We would also like to thank outgoing Associate Chair, Undergrad Bill Dunn and Associate Chair, Graduate Diane Conrad, for their service. Dunn will be assuming the role of Associate Dean Undergraduate Teacher Education in the Faculty of Education, while Conrad is currently on sabbatical.
