First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Students
WISEST is committed to increasing representation for all marginalized groups in STEM, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students (FNMI), and we encourage students
Specifically, we offer opportunities for indigenous students to receive career mentorship from indigenous role models in programs and events (e.g., SRP and SET Conference). We have also partnered with the Verna J. Kirkness Science and Engineering Education Program to empower FNMI students in grades 11 and 12 to pursue STEM education and careers
