In an effort to promote recycling and reuse, the University of Alberta, along with the Campus Sustainability Coalition is encouraging all faculty, staff, and students to bring their unused and obsolete PERSONAL (i.e. NOT University owned or inventory-tagged) computer and electronic equipment for recycling or donation during Sustainability Awareness Week, October 20-24, 2008.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) will have a truck parked in the west side of the Varsity Parking Lot, located just east of 116 Street and north of 87 Avenue. The parking attendant has been advised not to charge anyone coming in to drop off electronic equipment. Two smaller bins will also be located outside of the Myer Horowitz loading dock and at the South end of HUB mall. For more information, see www.era.ca and the attached poster (link below), or contact Jaime at ashander@ualberta.ca.
HM Tory Occupants please note, the nearest E-waste recycle collection bin is located outside the South end of HUB Mall, along the north wall of the Fine Arts Building.
