PhD Program

Students with a Master’s degree or equivalent from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta. This is a Full-time study program and students will normally complete the required graded coursework within 2 semesters and then take the additional two years to complete the rest of the program requirements.

The pro-seminar consists of ungraded workshops focusing on different aspects of the sociological craft.

THESIS 906 - Present and defend a final PhD oral thesis

Ethics Training - Students will attend the SOC 605 lecture on ethics and complete the online Graduate Student Ethics training course to meet this requirement.
