Dana Ferguson

PANDAS CURLING (2006-2009)

Originally from Stony Plain, Alberta, Dana graduated from high school as Female Athlete of the Year. Dana’s younger years consisted of a background in gymnastics, swimming, softball, and dance, which formed the athletic foundation that allowed her to be a competitive athlete in several sports in high school, including volleyball, basketball, track and field, and curling.

In 2006, Dana was a member of the first ever University of Alberta Pandas curling team. Throughout her four years on the Pandas, she played all positions and concluded her CIS career as an All-Canadian at the National Championships.

Dana’s curling career began in 2012 when she began competing on the World Curling Tour with two of her former Pandas teammates, and she has been very successful to date. In both 2014 and 2015 Dana was a finalist at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and has ranked 2nd in Canada (3rd in the world) and in 2015 was 2nd in the world on the money list.

Dana continues to stay connected with the University of Alberta, pursuing her career as the Curling Development Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach with the Golden Bears and Pandas curling teams.
