Our Female Junior Pandas Spring Program's objective is to provide a developmental opportunity for girls at a high level and to engage athletes in fun, fitness, social interaction and self-fulfillment. This program has been in operation as since 2015 and we are proud to be affiliated with the University of Alberta.

We are a condensed, intense, and immersive program that welcomes girls from all over Alberta to enhance their confidence, skills, knowledge, and love of the game. The spring program runs from the beginning of April through to the end of May. We are primarily a weekend program based out of the Encana Recreation Facility in Camrose Alberta.

Our program typically includes 3 development weekends (full days both Saturday and Sunday) plus one to three tournaments in April and May. We are committed to working with dedicated and talented young female athletes that are looking to work hard, compete, and learn. The program is currently offered from Atom and all the way up Midget level female hockey players. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate in the learning.

Junior Pandas Players will have the opportunity to develop their game both mentally and physically, to experience high level competition, and learn to value being a part of a team and the skills to perform their role within it. Development weekends cover a variety of concepts taught by experienced or professional instructors.

Below are some of what is included:

  • Fundamental individual skills including Shooting, Skating, Stick Handling, Passing, and Mental Focus.
  • Strength and fitness bench-marking
  • Tactical and team play such as puck support, breakouts, power play, penalty kill
  • Presentations from coaches, scouts, and advisors sharing valuable info on defining personal goals and how to achieve them.
  • Sports Psychology introduction covering Focus, Concentration, Confidence, and Resiliency
  • Club banquet with guest speaker Coach Howie Draper
  • Goalie Specific Sessions with noted goalie instructors

To become a part of the Jr Pandas; players will be committed to respect the game, ourselves, teammates, coaches, families, officials and our competitors.
