Athletes are encouraged get involved with our Late-Entry Sports at the Train-to-Train stage (ages 12-14), or potentially at the Train-to-Compete stage (ages 15-17). These recommendations give young athletes their best opportunity to realize both meaningful competitive success and lifelong participation, and are consistent with the official Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) pathways put forward by each sport.
The Green & Gold Sport System features six Late-Entry Sports, including Rowing, Rugby, Team Handball, Triathlon, Ultimate, and Weightlifting. Each of these Late-Entry Sports has a dedicated Junior Sport Page, which can be accessed on the menu to the left. All Junior Sport Pages include information about sport-specific youth programming, and how to get involved.
