Spring and Summer Programs

The goal of this camp is to give participants an opportunity to sample a variety of team sports that are suitable at this stage, and in the process to develop a wide range of sport-specific and general athletic skills. General athletic skills will be taught through our innovative AIM Program, which incorporates a variety of age-appropriate physical and mental activities. This camp will focus on skill development over the first three days, with a friendly competition featured on the final day. Participants may be grouped based on age and/or current skill level. Previous sports experience is not required. Other than athletic clothing and footwear, there is no special equipment needed.

The Green & Gold Sport System is excited to introduce our innovative new AIM Program, which is designed to build a strong general athletic foundation in our young athletes. Our AIM Program aligns with the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework to provide a developmentally appropriate experience. To this end, carefully designed opportunities are offered at the Train-to-Train (ages 12-14) and Train-to-Compete (ages 15-17) stages.

New Registration System

The University of Alberta is launching a new and improved way to browse, register and pay for recreational programming, including our Summer Camps! The new ActivityReg website will be launched on Monday, June 11, 2018.

Please note: all our registration and payment services will be down from May 20 to 22, 2018. This includes all online, in-person and over-the-phone services. You will not be able to register your child(ren) in our Summer Camps during this full-service blackout. The blackout period is necessary to accommodate the migration of all services to the new website.

From May 23 to June 10, 2018, the ActivityReg website will have limited access as we populate the new website with all our great programming. During this time, parents can call the Customer Service Centre at 780-492-2231 to reserve a spot in their desired camp(s). The balance on account can be paid in-person or over the phone during the online blackout period.
