Please join us at a special afternoon event on Wednesday, January 21 at 4:00pm with presentations by Dr. Richard Rymarz and Dr. Matthew Hoven. This event will be held in the St. Joseph's College Boardroom.

You are invited to a special afternoon event featuring presentations by Dr. Richard Rymarz and Dr. Matthew Hoven on Wednesday, January 21 from 4:00 - 6:00pm. Both presentations will be held in the Boardroom at St. Joseph's College.

Dr. Rymarz' presentation is titled:
Answering Two Questions: What is the most pressing issue facing religious education today and what does this have to do with the success of the New Evangelization?

These two questions will serve as a basis for a presentation on Dr. Rymarz' latest book: So You're Teaching Religion! Some Strategies for the Beginner.
This discussion will also frame an overview of some of his most recent work that examines the trajectory of Pope John Paul II's New Evangelization.

Dr. Hoven's presentation is titled:
Alberta Catholic High School Religious Studies Programs: A History Since 1970

Dr. Hoven will provide a historical overview of significant developments in religious education programs in Alberta Catholic high schools since 1970. The session will recall local, provincial and national trends and ponder what the future holds for the future of religious education in Alberta Catholic high schools.
