SJC Welcomes Dr. Denise Young as Interim Academic Dean

St. Joseph's College is excited to welcome Dr. Denise Young in the role of Interim Academic Dean.

Denise comes to us from the Department of Economics where she is a Professor Emerita. Her BA (Economics and French) and MA (Economics) are from McMaster University. Her PhD is from the University of Toronto. She spent one year as a Lecturer at Trent University in Peterborough before joining the Department of Economics at the University of Alberta in 1989 where she worked full-time until Dec. 2015 and continues to teach on a part-time basis. Her research interests lie in the area of applied econometrics where she has published papers in the areas of household selection of energy-efficient technologies, resource economics, economic history and urban economics.
