Dinner and a Course (non-credit)
'Dinner and a Course' is a four-evening program that includes a meal and parking while focusing on issues of faith that matter to you. Each session runs from 5:00 to 8:00pm starting with dinner in the College Dining Room followed by a presentation and discussion with College faculty. The program aims to engage educators with kitchen table issues faced in our schools, homes, and communities.

- "What Happened? Looking at Church history....for the future" (Dr. Indre Cuplinskas)
- "Beyond the "Evolution" vs. "Creation" Debate" (Dr. Denis Lamoureux)
Women, Spirituality, and Catholic Educators (3-credit graduate-level course)
This graduate course is offered as CHRTC 501 during the Winter 2017 term and is offered for credit by St. Joseph's College (University of Alberta) for practicing and aspiring teachers.
This course considers how women's experience of God and the Christian life, as reflected in the history of spirituality, personal faith development, and contemporary culture, are relevant to educators and students in Catholic schools. We will explore women's roles and actions in the history of the Church, and consider some particular women of note (e.g., Mary, Hildegard of Bingen, Teresa of Avila, Marie de l'Incarnation, Dorothy Day, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Joan Chittister).
Students are encouraged to attend to their own spirituality in the light of the various historical and contemporary women's distinctive spiritualities. Assignments will invite integration of women's spirituality and Catholic education.
