SJC's Dr. Matt Kostelecky speaks on medieval philosophy in Leuven, Munich and Bonn

13 June 2019

This summer, thanks to a STIR (Strategic Initiatives in Research) travel grant from SJC, Dr. Matt Kostelecky, our Associate Academic Dean & Associate Professor of Philosophy, has been conducting research in Europe and speaking on the subject of his current research project, "The Attempted Unification and Eventual Fragmentation of Metaphysics as a Discipline."

Dr. Kostelecky delivered three talks on medieval philosophy during his time in Europe: 1) at the Higher Institute of Philosophy, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven; 2) at the Lehrstuhl VI für spätantike und arabische Philosophie, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich; and 3) at the Institut für Philosophie, University of Bonn. For most of the rest of the time, he was "hanging out in Leuven... using their amazing library."
