      Our workshop series focus on skills that are useful no matter the project; providing the perfect opportunity to hone your soft skills and transferable knowledge that will set you up for success no matter where your ideas take you.

      Idea to Prototype

      Every 2 weeks

      Learn how to go from the fuzzy front end of a new idea to specific tools and ways to bring it into reality. Early in the semester we cover idea generation, basic sketching, simple prototyping and brainstorming. As the semester progresses, more specific tools and technologies are highlighted to curious students.

      Building a Good Conversation

      Communicating your idea is important; whether networking or pitching to stakeholders. Join us for this workshop series with the UAlberta chapter of Toastmasters to improve your communication skills and confidence.

      Tools & Tactics

      Every 2 weeks

      Stop by the centre for an informal roundtable and share productivity and life hacks with fellow students. We’ll start some of the conversations; like kanban scheduling, bullet journalling, and more, and encourage students to take the lead on sharing their own topics.
