Gail's career began in the pre-dentistry program at the University of Alberta in 1981 with a major in chemistry. After two years in this program, she was accepted into the dentistry program at the U of A. She then completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1987 from the Faculty of Dentistry. She spent the next seven years providing dental services in Edmonton, Petawawa and Toronto as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, and was then accepted into the orthodontic specialty program at the U of A in 1994. She completed the program in 1996 with a Master of Science in Orthodontics, and is a Board Certified Orthodontist. She is published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She has held the position of an Orthodontic Clinical Instructor at the University of Alberta, and enjoys lecturing locally and in schools on health topics. As well, she prides herself on remaining current of the latest technological and scientific advances in orthodontics by regularly attending courses and seminars throughout North America. Gail currently works at Smile Worx Orthodontics in Edmonton.
