Mark was born and raised in New Brunswick and graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a third generation military member and was an officer in the army for 25 years. During his service he had the pleasure of serving with regular and reserve force members throughout Canada and with the United Nations and NATO, throughout Asia and Europe. He was involved with the support of refugees and was a direct liaison with multinational support organizations and numerous countries. From an early age Mark has enjoyed volunteering with programs to assist children and families in need, which has included coaching minor hockey and baseball, running of military support groups and as a board member for the United Way. Currently Mark is involved in the housing business with renovations and rentals as well as continuing his support for ISTAR.
