Speech-Language Pathologist

Erin began working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research (ISTAR) in September 2021. She has a Bachelor's in Environmental Science with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Calgary. Although she started her career in environmental sciences, Erin began a journey into Speech-Language Pathology after volunteering to work with newcomers to Canada learning English and becoming a volunteer then lab coordinator at the Speech Development Research Lab at the University of Calgary. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Alberta in 2015 and since then has worked in public health providing services to all ages in rural Alberta and Edmonton with a wide range of communication challenges and disorders. Erin's passion lies in motor speech disorders and she is so excited and honoured to be a part of the ISTAR team.
