The 2019 theme is Ethics in Global Surgery. As global surgery develops worldwide, it is vitally important that ethical considerations remain at the forefront of this advancement. We are seeking submissions of scientific work in global surgery. We particularly encourage submission of abstracts that pertain to this year’s theme.
All submissions were evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Relevance or applicability to the theme of Ethics in Global Surgery (note abstracts not directly related will also be accepted).
- Relevance to Global Surgery.
- Scientific rigour (design, evidence, impact).
- Ethical considerations (submissions on work undertaken in a low- or middle-income country must include local authorship).

If your abstract is selected, scholarships to fund the travel costs to the meeting are available for selected clinicians practicing in low-and-middle-income countries.
