Congratulations to Drs. Tejas Sankar (left) and Francois Roy (right) for receiving a $104,983-Kaye Fund grant for "Biomarkers in Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's Disease".

The Functional Neurosurgery Research Laboratory strives to improve surgical treatments for patients with Parkinson's Disease, chronic pain, and epilepsy. The team uses techniques of brain imaging and neurophysiology to study patients before, during, and after neurosurgical interventions. It employs these techniques to examine how differences in the brain across patients-and changes occurring in the brain after surgery-can influence treatment response
