Plastic Surgery resident, Dr. Jenna-Lynn Senger, has won the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation’s Resident Research Award. This prize is awarded annually for the best resident research project conducted during a RCPSC/CFPC training program at a Canadian medical school.
Dr. Senger’s paper Senger et al., Annals of Neurology, 2020 demonstrates that conditioning electrical stimulation to the donor nerve prior to a distal nerve transfer surgery promotes nerve regeneration.
Her committee member, Dr. Christine Webber says, “Jenna has continued research in addition to her full-time residency training in plastic surgery, and we are so pleased that she won the CSCI Resident Research Award.”
