Leadership Innovator

Dr. Brett Mador, Surgical Foundations Program Director, has been nominated as one of a select group of honorary Competence by Design (CBD) Innovators for exemplary leadership in the implementation of CBD in his home program. Dr. Mador says, "It is a great honour to receive recognition as a Competence by Design (CBD) Innovator from the Royal College. CBD implementation had been a challenging cultural and practical shift in the way surgical residency education is delivered and learners are assessed, and it has been incredibly rewarding to be at the forefront of the movement." In accepting the nomination, he will be invited to answer a few questions by email about his experiences, his approach to leading the implementation of CBD, the obstacles he overcame, and share any advice or lessons learned for other programs starting the transition. 
His thoughtful responses will be shared via the Royal College Newsroom and Twitter and he will receive a special eSignature logo.
