Built in 1915, Triffo Hall has seen countless uses over the last century. Most recently, the building was restored to reflect its original state, but with elevated environmental efficiencies. The renovation used the building’s original masonry, steel and concrete while incorporating extensive daylighting, energy-efficient materials and rainwater harvesting.
Triffo Hall became the university’s first LEED®-certified project and the oldest gold-certified structure in Canada. The building is now home to the Faculty of Graduate Studies Research, the Graduate Students’ Association, USchool and other university offices.
