The University of Alberta encourages sustainability-related learning and research both on and off campus. We offer many opportunities to study and research sustainability. Degrees, courses and service-learning options teach students about sustainability. Grants, class projects and student organizations help students apply their sustainability knowledge in the real world.

The Certificate in Sustainability is open to undergraduate students in most faculties who are committed to gaining baseline knowledge of sustainability. As an embedded certificate, it is completed within a student's current major.
